Marki Meyer, Family Nurse Practitioner,  graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, CA in 2018 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing. She then attended Touro University Nevada to obtain her Masters of Science degree in 2022. As a Registered Nurse she worked at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles in the Newborn and Infant Critical Care Unit for over a year. She is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and has hands on experience as an Endocrinology specialty nurse practitioner and diabetes educator.

Marki was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes when she was 12 years old and due to this personal experience she has always been eager to work in the endocrine field.  She had been a patient of Dr. Westhoff's since her teenage years and has assisted in the office for much of this time.  She brings to the practice both professional training and practical knowledge, empathy, and a shared perspective that our patients greatly deserve and appreciate.

Barbara Holdsworth, FNP-C, BC-ADM

Barbara has been working in the field of Endocrinology with Dr. Westhoff since 2009.  She is bilingual in Spanish and is considered by her physician peers to be highly competent and invaluable to the field. She works hand-in-hand with Dr. Westhoff for a team approach for all patients. She has over two decades of experience treating a wide range of Endocrine disorders, including detailed diabetic care and hands-on practical expertise.  Barbara has developed an empathetic, compassionate and realistic approach to helping her patients live quality lives while managing their chronic conditions.  Her patients are deeply fond of Barbara's personal, nonjudgemental, and effective approach to managing and treating their disease states.

Barbara Holdsworth, Family Nurse Practitioner and Advanced Diabetes Manager, attended UCLA for her graduate work in Nursing and graduated with a Masters of Science degree in 2007. Prior to completing her Masters Degree, Barbara worked for 20 years as a Registered Nurse, Nurse Educator and Clinic Manager of local Ventura County dialysis clinics.  She is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as well as holds a board certification in Advanced Diabetes Management.
